Hello Blogging world.
Well i finally figured out how to make a blog, it only took me a month to figure it out. XD
OK. So I’m new to this blogging concept, so forgive me if I don’t figure it out right away.
Conventions
So on the convention side of things, I decided to do Sac-Con in Sacramento after all.
The convention is December 11th, and really the only reason i got a table this time was because of my college friend Jen.
She’s a kick-ass artist who’s never had a table, so i kinda kicked her butt into getting one. >_>
Since she’s so nervous about her first table experience, she’s trying to get either her best friend to be her table buddy, or our classmate/friend Eli to be her table buddy.
I’d totally be her table buddy, if it wasn’t for the fact that my table set up is so big, and i keep trying to have new things at each con i go to.
Speaking of new products. I’ve been practicing more with my crocheting, and I’m debating whether or not to sell hand made hats and scarves at Sac-Con.
Sure it’d be a little out-landish, but hey. It’s a winter convention, and people go nuts over things with cat ears and rainbows on them.
Comics
~Epic Chaos!
So the progress on EC! is getting easier and easier to manage, I’ve managed to finish about 5 of the buffers I’ve been meaning to work on, but haven’t had the time to. Luckily I’ve got about a chapter and a half of pages ready for line arting and coloring, so i should be sane for at least a few more months.
~Guardian
My progress on Guardian is at a stand still. I’ve got way too much work on my plate to work on the book, so I’m doubting I’ll have the book done by September 2012, but hey, a miracle might happen. My only problem will be selling the books ><
Personal life
~School
My school life is as busy as ever. Sculpture on Mondays and Wednesdays, Professionalism class on Mondays, Illustration Tuesdays and Thursdays, Accounting on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and finishing off the week with all day Ceramics on Fridays. Oh yeah, and I added in an extra class on Saturdays, with the amazing Terry Shoemaker! He’s such a nice guy! Him, me and my Artist Bestie Heather spend an hour after class talking geek about comics, conventions, and breaking into the industry. Heather and I are the only ones in our class who are published artists, so its awesome to be able to talk with a comic book veteran.
And somehow I still have time to eat, sleep, and keep a social life, hahaha!
~Life as I Know It
Life right now is as busy as I’ve ever had it be. Full time college student, full time artist, and now a commissioned Artist for Scattered Comics. It was an honor to be asked to join the studios, and hilarious to find out the owner/head artist is a fan of my stuff XD
I never thought I’d see the day where a professional would love my stuff.
Even Terry Shoemaker had nice things to say about my stuff.
Wow this blogging things is surprisingly therapeutic.
I’ll be back next week with another post!
Ciao!
